VAPRO Audit for Practical Assessment SMTI Yogyakarta
 As part of the long term cooperation between VAPRO and SMTI Yogyakarta, PT. VAPRO Indonesia will monitor the quality of the examination and assessment for SMTI Yogyakarta students by means of audits. The first audit was executed in April 2011 at PT. Pupuk Kujang, a company which produces fertilizer. Three 2nd grade Industrial Chemistry students of SMTI Yogyakarta currently do an internship in this company. During the audit, VAPRO observed how the students learn, how they are guided and how they are assessed during their internship at the workplace. At the end of their internship VAPRO will attend the assessment and final presentation from the students at the company. Aim of the audit is to compare the practical learning system including practical examinations during the internship in companies, with the Dutch/European system. During the audit VAPRO looks at methodology, at the content and the level of the practical learning and assessment during internship.
The second part of the audit, to monitor the school examination and assessment, will take place in July 2011.
Based on the result of the audits VAPRO will make a report for SMTI Yogyakarta with observations and recommendations. Aim is to improve the quality of the examination and practical assessment, both during internship and at school, to meet international standards.
