PT. VAPRO Indonesia is a consultancy company for HR development and training in technical areas. We assist technical and industrial companies with staff upgrading in technical knowledge and skills, improving HSE performance, process efficiency and competence development. We also assist governmental and vocational institutes (SMK schools, academies) with development and implementation of qualifications, competence-based curricula, examinations and methods and techniques for workplace learning. PT. VAPRO Indonesia is the Indonesian Branch Office of the Dutch VAPRO group which operates worldwide and has his office in Jakarta.
In a project, sponsored by the Dutch Government, PT. VAPRO Indonesia develops a small (15 x 6 meter) work barge, with equipments like (mini) excavator, winches, sand pumps, piling, concrete mixing and welding equipments and so on for training purposes and for small near shore water construction activities. The work barge is under construction now and will be settled in or near Surabaya.
For the work barge PT. VAPRO Indonesia wants to recruit:
A. Two Practical Trainers Work Barge
Together with Dutch and Indonesian experts you will run the work barge in small scaled water construction works and you will act as the practical trainer of youngsters (SMK level) to improve their competences in the field of working on a work barge. You are also responsible to maintain the work barge and the equipments in a good condition.
We expect you have a technical background, minimum on SMK level and some experience in operating and maintaining technical equipments in a correct way, preferably on work barge. Preferable you have some educational skills and you can communicate in Basic English language too. We also expect you have a excellent physical condition and you really have a hands on mentality and also you are willing to develop yourself and the company VAPRO. Your starting salary will be between 3 - 6 Million Rupiah nett per month, based on age and earlier experiences, excluding expenses like travelling costs. You are based in or near Surabaya near the work barge.

B. A Business Developer Work barge
Together with Dutch and Indonesian experts you will develop business with the work barge. This can be for training purposes for technical students (SMK, D3, S1 level) but mainly also to small commercial near shore water construction works for instance in canals, rivers, lakes, coastlines and so on. You also guide the two VAPRO practical trainers of the work barge. Of course on request you also contribute in BD of PT. VAPRO Indonesia in other technical areas, like the processing industries. We expect the right candidate has a technical or engineering background minimum on S1 level, preferable in marine or civil engineering related education. You also have excellent interpersonal skills and good communication skills in words and written in English and Bahasa. You must have minimum 5 years experience (and proven success) in Business Development in technical areas and you are willing to develop yourself and the company VAPRO. Your starting salary will be between 8 - 15 Million Rupiah nett per month, excluding high bonuses when you are proven successful in generating business with the work barge, also excluding travel and stay costs. For the right candidate this salary can improve fast. You are settled in Jakarta or Surabaya, but you must be willing to travel all over Indonesia frequently.
